History of Company

Electoral College Sportswear & Accessories was established in 1994 by John and Marcia Diamond, a couple of political junkies originally from Glenburn, Maine. The Diamonds trademarked all rights to "Electoral College" in 1995 and, working from their home, began selling their uniquely playful line of collegiate-style T-shirts, sweatshirts, and caps through direct mail and over the internet.

Through the first few years of operation, the business was a nice sideline from their day jobs as educators - Marcia as a school principal and John as a university administrator. They had help processing orders from their two young children. It was indeed a "Mom and Pop" operation.
